Over 40 teams of 9 to 14 years old from all across the province are expected at the NAIT main gym on Saturday January 20th for the annual competition. Teams must build robots out of Lego bricks to complete challenges designed by the international FIRST team. This year’s winner will be invited to Houston (TX) for the World championship as the Alberta representative.
Teams have to compete on 4 levels: The robot game (from noon to 4PM) as well as a research project, technical and robot design and teamwork. These last three elements will be judged in separate rooms in the morning (9AM to noon).
