The Tragically Hip is the latest musical icon to partner with Alberta Ballet Artistic Director Jean Grand-Maitre for his signature portrait ballet series. Grand-Maître will explore and inhabit the ethos of The Tragically Hip in this landmark world premiere. Inspired by a soundtrack of the Hip’s most-loved music, this contemporary ballet celebrates the sound and stories of a band that has spoken so poignantly to a generation of Canadians.
