Mandy and Mindy Rollins are sisters who have been on a journey to paint in encaustic for almost 10 years. Inspiring and challenging each other, they are developing their own styles.This is their first duo show. Their art can be found year round at James Hibbert Pottery, Narmata, BC.“Encaustic employs all your senses; vivid and transparent wax visually draws you in. Painting with wax has an immediacy that is satisfying; building layers of texture invites the sense of touch. Beeswax has a sweet and organic smell. The partnering with bees in creating art completes a spiritual circle with nature.” Please join them at the “vernissage” Artist Opening Event on Saturday, Oct 14, from 10am-1pm.
