Diwali Mela 2017

Come celebrate Diwali “Festival of Lights”, a festival that signifies the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Diwali is a time of renewal, a time of new beginnings, and a time to look ahead for hope, joy, good health, peace, and prosperity in one’s life. As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, Hindu Society of Manitoba extends an invitation for their annual Diwali Mela event to the public. This event is an opportunity to try delicious East Indian cuisine, participate in informative cultural workshops, and enjoy a colorful and lively entertainment show. There will also be raffle draws for some great prizes. Diwali Mela 2017 will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 375 York Avenue, RBC Convention Centre, Winnipeg. Admission to the event is FREE. The event is open to the public. Food stalls will open at 4:30pm (food for purchase) and the entertainment show commences at 7:00pm and continues until 10:30pm. Bring your family and friends to share and enjoy a wonderful evening of culinary delights, culture, and community.
