While Goh Ballet’s renowned presentation of The Nutcracker captures Vancouver’s heart during the holiday season in December, planning for this tradition starts as early as May with open auditions. On Sunday, May 7th, Goh Ballet will be having an open call for both student and professional dancers, aged six and up, to fill a wide variety of roles for their annual holiday production, which will take place at The Centre in Vancouver, December 14 – 19. Whether you fancy yourself a Little Mouse, a Sugar Plum Fairy or a Fritz or Clara, visit the Scotiabank Dance Centre on May 7th to join this fun, passionate team and work under the guidance of Executive Director, Chan Hon Goh. A production Vancouver can truly call its own; this holiday tradition will cast over 200 local talents who share the stage with Principal Dancers from world-class companies performing the choreography of Anna-Marie Holmes to live orchestral accompaniment played by members of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra.
