Come meet a man who lives on the edge! Penticton Photographer Mike Biden is the next presenter in the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives Speaker Series. The self-taught photographer and publisher of five books will speak on “Adventure Photography: How to create better adventure photographs.” The well-travelled and publicized photographer has had the privilege of parachuting, riding in hot-air balloons, tanks, jet fighters, World War II vintage airplanes, aircraft carriers and even submarines! His photography tips will be helpful whether you’re in a helicopter, scuba diving or flying jet fighters or WWII air planes with propellers or if you are taking landscapes, portraits, or wild and structure fire photos. Guests will be treated to a slide show of his works and Mike’s most recent book, “Jewels of the Okanagan” will be available for purchase after the talk. The presentation and slide show runs from 1:00-2:00pm, followed by Q & A, Saturday April 8th at the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 250-542-3142. Cost is $5/person at the door. For more information visit http://www.vernonmuseum.ca or find us on facebook.
