Free activities are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 12 at Pinetree Community Centre,1260 Pinetree Way, including Family Fun Day Drop-in from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This includes instructor-led games, bouncy castles, popcorn and gymnastics (age 0 – 6 years). Also on Feb. 12: Family Open Gym Drop-in is available for ages 6+ from 1 – 3 p.m. Pinetree Community Centre is located near the Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station. On Monday, Feb. 13, get ready to have some fun at the Poirier Community Centre, 630 Poirier Street. There will be entertainment, games and a variety of activities, pre-register by calling 604-927-4386. Take part in a Family Day Skate at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex from 4 – 6 p.m. Family admission & regular rental rates apply. Or, take the kids to a Family Day Swim at the pool for just $2 per person (at both City Centre Aquatic Complex, 1210 Pinetree Way & Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex, 633 Poirier Street ). Takes place all day! City Centre Aquatic Centre (1210 Pinetree Way) is just steps from Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station and Poirier (633 Poirier) is accessible by bus from Burquitlam Station.
