Art for the Holidays

The annual art show, “Art for the Holidays,” is set to captivate art enthusiasts and holiday shoppers once again. Organized by Local Colour Art Group, this highly anticipated art show and sale promises a delightful immersion into the vibrant world of local Manitoba artists. Scheduled for October 16-18th, the event will take place at the Elmwood East Kildonan Active Living Centre, located at 180 Poplar Ave, Winnipeg. We invite members of the community to engage in conversations about art with the talented artists exhibiting in the show and sale. The opening reception is slated for Oct. 16, commencing at 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, offering attendees a first look at the eclectic collection of artwork. The show will continue throughout the weekend, with the doors open on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, Oct. 18, from 12 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free.

Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore many artworks, ranging from paintings to jewelry, greeting cards, and other merchandise, all crafted by talented local artists. With an array of holiday-themed items available for purchase, visitors can discover the perfect gifts while supporting the local arts community. Moreover, in the spirit of giving, several artists have generously contributed artwork to a raffle, the proceeds of which will support a community charity, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to fostering community welfare.
