Ukrainian War Requiem – National Tour

Edmonton’s Axios Men’s Ensemble—recently honored with a historic Juno Award for Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble) for their recording of the *Ukrainian War Requiem*—has announced a national tour spanning nine Canadian cities this November. Composed by two-time Grammy nominee Benedict Sheehan, this monumental choral work comprises 12 striking movements that seamlessly blend modern musical styles, ancient chants, and traditional Ukrainian motifs. This choral tribute stands as a powerful expression of respect for those affected by the war, offering comfort and strength to the living and the bereaved, and creating a solemn space for reflection and prayer through a poignant, virtuosic homage to Ukraine and its people.
