Celebrate Canada Day with your WSO at the Lyric Theatre in Assiniboine Park on Wednesday, July 1 at 11:00 am. Join us for a free outdoor concert of orchestral favourites and a few surprises, performed in one of Winnipeg’s most iconic summer settings. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live music under the open sky as part of the city’s Canada Day celebrations. Conducted by associate director Monica Chen, the program features music from composers such as Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Grieg. Audiences will also enjoy music from Star Wars and Star Trek, along with a few additional surprises. Joining the orchestra is soprano Grace Budolowski.
