Stepping into the Edmonton Inn, your senses are sure to be fired up by the sights and sounds of hot pickers and singers everywhere. On the main stage, we’ll have a fresh line-up of 8 International, National and Regional bands including Internationally acclaimed, mandolinist, John Reischman and his Juno nominated Old Acoustic group. In the smaller rooms you’ll find 8 two-day instrument and vocal workshops with instructors from our performing bands; and on Saturday morning we are bringing back last year’s smash, the Kid Fiddle Academy, for aspiring young fiddlers. We are sure to top last year’s success which saw 480 attending from across Western Canada and more than 100 rooms booked. Afterall, bluegrass is for all acoustic music lovers. It’s no wonder the City of Edmonton recognized RiverCity Bluegrass Day noting: “…bluegrass music has long been an art form for meaningful generational storytelling and connects diverse people over shared experiences…” See you there.
