The Summerland Community Centre is proud to present an evening of vibrant live music featuring the Cherry Groove Ensemble on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This performance promises a dynamic blend of bossa, samba, ballads, and modern popular favorites, perfect for music lovers and dance enthusiasts alike. Cherry Groove has become an increasingly popular group of choice in the South Okanagan music scene, known for their smooth style. Audiences can expect a relaxed yet lively atmosphere that invites toe-tapping, swaying and dancing. Meet the Players: • Charlene Coles – Pianist and vocalist with over 30 years of teaching experience. Her passion for jazz began in 2016 and continues to flourish with Cherry Groove. • Michelle McEntee Longstaff – Drummer and percussionist with roots in coastal rock bands and active roles in multiple Okanagan ensembles. • Jim Redding – Saxophonist and music educator with a Master’s in Music Education, bringing decades of jazz and classical performance expertise. • Graham Walker – Multi-instrumentalist originally from Saskatchewan, now a sought-after guitarist, bassist, and clarinetist in the Okanagan region. • Gary Rich, a prime trumpet player with the South Okanagan Big Band, will be a special guest for this event, bringing his distinctive soloing style and musical flair to the stage. Cost is $15 General Admission, $10 for SCCA Members or $20 at the door. Physical tickets are available at Artisans of the Okanagan (cash only).
