Free Community Film Screening – November 8 What does it mean to be a true hero? Sometimes, heroes are not those with superpowers, but ordinary people who bravely face life’s challenges with courage, kindness, and resilience. On Saturday, November 8, 2025 (2:00–4:30 PM), the award-winning Taiwanese documentary Taiwan Unsung Hero will premiere in Toronto at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Culture Centre (888 Progress Ave, Scarborough). Admission is free, with both English and Mandarin subtitles provided. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Charlie Chu, this 102-minute documentary shares the inspiring real-life stories of volunteers, educators, and parents who, despite hardships, continue to bring light and hope to others. The film reminds audiences that with faith and determination, hope can always be found.
