Pow Wow Days & Fish Derby – July 31-Aug. 4

  • Full midway, talent show, children’s festival, a fish derby on the big lake for the grownups AND a kids’ fish derby at the trout pond, bingo games, baseball tournament, spectacular fireworks show, and so much more!

Beaver Lake Cree Nation Pow Wow – Aug. 1-3

Lakeland Country Fair – Aug. 1-2

  • Rodeo, horticulture bench show, two-day farmers market
  • Alberta Wife Carrying Championship on Aug. 2! The winning team receives the wife/partner’s weight in beer and five times her weight in cash.

One-Day Traditional Pow Wow – Aug. 4

  • Brand-new event, co-hosted by Lac La Biche County, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Heart Lake First Nation and Whitefish Lake First Nation 128.
