May is Asian Heritage Month (AHM) in Canada, a time to reflect on and recognize the many contributions that people of Asian origin have made and continue to make to Canada. Sponsored by three levels of Government, the OCCA is hosting annual AHM celebrations in the Okanagan since 2012. The 2025 AHM celebrations will offer multiple events and activities in May 1 -31 with expansion to participate in Folkfest Canada Day Multicultural celebrations.
