Celebrate Diwali on October 20 at Diwali Downtown Surrey, held at Surrey City Hall.
This event will be alive with music, dance, a Diwali market, and food trucks. Keerat Kaur’s poster art pays homage to the rich flora and fauna of the Indian subcontinent.
The vibrant marigold, a symbol of prosperity and new beginnings, takes center stage, alongside mango leaves and sweets, which are traditionally exchanged during Diwali celebrations.
Additionally, a special live reading of the children’s book Henna is… by Anu Chouhan will introduce young audiences to the beautiful tradition of henna, further enriching the cultural experience.
