The Polygon Gallery presents the Lind Biennial, a collective exhibition of works from five artists shortlisted for the newly revamped Philip B. Lind Emerging Artist Prize: Casey Wei, Dion Smith-Dokkie, Karice Mitchell, Mena El Shazly, and Parumveer Walia. They were selected from a longlist of more than 60 nominees by a panel of esteemed international jurors: Art Institute of Chicago Curator Grace Deveny; acclaimed contemporary artist Brian Jungen; and Hammer Museum Curator Aram Moshayedi. The gallery recently announced a $1 million endowment from the Lind family, which secures the future of the award for decades to come and will increase the prize amount to $25,000 — making it the country’s largest accolade dedicated to supporting emerging visual artists. The winner of the prize will be announced on Jan. 23, 2025. Admission to The Polygon Gallery is by donation, courtesy of BMO Financial Group.
