Lind Biennial

The Polygon Gallery presents the Lind Biennial, a collective exhibition of works from five artists shortlisted for the newly revamped Philip B. Lind Emerging Artist Prize: Casey Wei, Dion Smith-Dokkie, Karice Mitchell, Mena El Shazly, and Parumveer Walia. They were selected from a longlist of more than 60 nominees by a panel of esteemed international jurors: Art Institute of Chicago Curator Grace Deveny; acclaimed contemporary artist Brian Jungen; and Hammer Museum Curator Aram Moshayedi. The gallery recently announced a $1 million endowment from the Lind family, which secures the future of the award for decades to come and will increase the prize amount to $25,000 — making it the country’s largest accolade dedicated to supporting emerging visual artists.
