How useful is it to censor books, speakers, or events? Should some things be censored and others not? James Turk will lead us in a discussion about the current climate of censorship and free expression, and the importance of intellectual freedom in our society. James L. Turk is Director of the Centre for Free Expression at Toronto Metropolitan University. Previously, he served as Executive Director of the Canadian Association of University Teachers and was an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto. Jim has written extensively on expressive freedom and has won numerous awards for his work.
