River Basin Days: Insect Inspection

River Basin Days is a series of outdoor public programs for families. Join us at different locations around the Fraser River Basin as we explore this incredible watershed! Our staff will guide you through one hour of activities, experiments, and art projects as we learn about the biodiversity of this great river. Insects have adapted to live in their habitats and are essential in shaping the appearance and complexity of the river basin’s incredible biodiversity! Observe and identify insects based on their different characteristics; invent an insect using natural materials; and build a bug hotel to shelter amazing insects! This month we are headed to Campbell Valley Regional Park, located in Langley, to learn about insects! This event will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather. Registration cost includes admission to the Fraser River Discovery Centre. Pay when you register for this workshop, and the next time you visit the Centre in-person, you will be admitted for free.
