Canada Day! What could be more Canadian than aviation? On Canada Day, the Canadian Museum of Flight will celebrate the many roles aviation has played in the growth of our nation. There will be crafts, and games, and aircraft to explore. Weather permitting, cockpits will be open for the kids, big and little, to sit in and fly. Docents will be happy to tell stories and answer questions. Our hangar opens directly onto the Langley Airport, which means our visitors can enjoy the action – aircraft taxiing by, taking off and landing – to their hearts’ content. Admission will be by donation. Everyone is welcome and everyone is encouraged to come, for a great family day out. The Museum will be open on Monday, July 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In this the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Canadian Air Force, we are marking RCAF 2024, commemorating 100 years of contributions by RCAF men and women to Canadian defense and security through war and peace. We are pleased to host all those with connections to the RCAF – veterans, serving members and their families – providing an opportunity to remember, reflect, and look forward.
