Vancouver’s International Women’s Day March will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 12:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m at the šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (Vancouver Art Gallery, North Plaza). The theme for IWD 2024 is #InspireInclusion. The event will begin with an Indigenous welcome ceremony from Debra Sparrow, a xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Knowledge Keeper, weaver, and artist. This will be followed by speeches from local community leaders from organizations such as Voices for Hope and Pacific DAWN. There will also be performances by the Solidarity Notes Labour Choir and Butterflies in Spirit. The march will follow the speeches, beginning at roughly 2:00 p.m.
