One kid, three turntables and a stack of wax, always an audio adventure. A short attention span trip through Kid Koala’s record crates. Hand cut together right before your very eyes. Whether it’s recreating his multi-laye:red album cuts on 3 turntables, or seamlessly traveling through every genre. Kid Koala’s DJ sets are a cornucopia of beats and melodies. Sometimes dance floor oriented, and at other times introspective. The main mission in his DJ sets is to entertain while pushing the musicality of the turntable. His DJ sets have become the stuff of legend, even earning him spots on tour with acts such as Radiohead and Arcade Fire. Standing room only. Part of the 38th annual High Performance Rodeo, Calgary’s international festival of the arts.
