Light up the Arts starts on Friday, November 24th and runs until Saturday, December 23rd! You’ll find beautiful, handmade items from our creative arts community, perfect for your Christmas gift-giving. Candles, pottery, knit and crochet wear, paintings, jewelry, books. leather bags and belts and more! We’ll be holding a daily draw for a handmade Christmas ornament of your choice and you can enter our raffle for eleven different and fabulous prizes! We’re thrilled to be joined by Chef Andy and his lovely wife Loraine. who will be here from 5 – 9 pm with their delicious meat pies and other wonderful food items! We’re excited to announce that we’ll also be joined by Thornhaven Estates Winery from 5 – 8:30 pm! The always knowledgeable and quick with a joke Danny Evanishen will be your sommelier! Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies and warm up while you browse. The Summerland Singers and Players will be holding a Sing-a Long outside in the greenspace from 6 – 6:30 pm, and everyone is invited to join in. Come to the Ryga Arts & Cultural Centre for the start of Light up the Arts on November 24th from 5 – 9 pm. 9525 Wharton St. right next to the Summerland Museum, who will also be celebrating the evening.
