DiwaliFest 2023 Events: A Celebration to Remember
Join Diwali Fest as they embark on a journey filled with music, dance, art, and tradition, marking their 20th Anniversary with a series of South Asian Wedding-themed Diwali festivities.
On October 21st, immerse yourself in an evening of classical South Asian performances at Burnaby Public Library complemented by a children’s art zone, and tantalize your taste buds with exquisite Chai and South Asian delights.
The grand Diwali celebration continues on October 29th at the Roundhouse Community Centre with a Sangeet. This musical extravaganza encourages attendees to wear red & pink or blue & green to support the groom and bride’s entourage. Families can also revel in the Arts & Crafts zone, Community Rangoli, and treat themselves to sumptuous South Asian snacks.
The festivities progress on November 3rd with a vibrant Haldi celebration at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Revel in the pre-wedding hues of yellow and orange, enjoy spectacular performances, and gain insights from the artist talk featuring Sandeep Johal and Sara Khan.
Finally, on November 5th, witness the magnificence of a Baraat procession and Shaadi ceremony at Surrey City Hall. Come adorned in sparkling outfits, relish in the music, dance, and savor delicious offerings from our Food Truck and Chai Cart partners.
