Shivangi Sharma

Shivangi Sharma is a video journalist at Global News, contributing to the National Online Video team based in Toronto.
With a passion for both breaking news and entertainment reporting, Shivangi has covered major events such as the Toronto International Film Festival of 2024. She’s had the opportunity to interview some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Jacob Elordi, Mark Hamill, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Pharrell Williams.
Originally from India, Shivangi moved to Canada in 2021 as an international student. She holds a diploma in Broadcasting TV and Independent Production and began her career in the media archive department. From there, she transitioned into operating robotic cameras in the control room before joining the National Online Video team in 2023.
Outside of work, Shivangi loves exploring the vibrant food scene, travelling, and connecting with people. Whether it’s discovering new restaurants or soaking in the city’s culture, she’s always on the lookout for new experiences.
