Elise Darwish is an Anchor and Reporter for Global News.
Elise was born and raised in Edmonton where she completed the Radio and Television Arts program at NAIT.
She started her media career in Edmonton where she worked in radio for 630 CHED writing news reports and reporting on her favourite hometown teams the Eskimos and the Oilers. Her love of sports also allowed her to be the in game host for the Prospects and the first female play by play announcer for the University of Alberta volleyball teams.
After dipping her feet in Radio she headed to Lloydminster in the summer of 2018 where she took on the head anchor role at the local television station. In May of 2019 Elise packed up and headed fully across the border, this time to Regina where she has started anchoring for Global News.
When Elise isn’t at the news desk she is either watching hockey, playing volleyball, or out for a run. She loves spending time with her big Greek/Italian family and will be at home eating Mom’s cooking any chance she gets. Elise loves to travel and her curiosity has taken her to many parts of the world with many places still to go! She is also a massive dog lover and volunteers with organizations like Dogs with Wings and the SPCA, where she frequently tries to take them all home with her.
