Carla Bosacki
Weather Anchor
Carla has been proudly informing viewers of the impending weather for the past 15 years. With a start in Brandon, Manitoba as the Host of The Noon Show, and weather anchor for the evening news. With family in Manitoba, it was a natural place to start. However, it wasn’t long when an opportunity arose in Halifax, Nova Scotia with Global News Maritimes.
Never one to turn down an exciting opportunity, the move was the start of a long lasting career within the Global News family. After three years living and learning all about Canada’s beautiful east coast, the next move was the Canadian Rockies, and Calgary, Alberta.
Carla spent the next four wonderful years in Calgary, immersed in the community and people, working as Weekend Weather Anchor for Global News. Meeting lifelong friends, having incredible mountain adventures, and most importantly, it is Calgary where she rescued a 25lb, terrier/poodle from Mexico. Max, her four legged running/walking companion has been her constant shadow since.
Calgary holds a very special place in her heart, the friends, the job, the experiences, and the incomparable beauty of that province. Next stop was back home to Toronto, Ontario. Back to the city she grew up in, where her roots are firmly planted.
Carla went to Ryerson University, and spent three years in the Meteorology program at Mississippi State University.
Thrilled to be part of the Global News Team, working as the Weekend Weather Anchor. When not working, Carla spends her time enjoying the outdoors with Max. Mentoring young women on going after their dreams, and other women to be healthy and happy.
