Andrea Dion

Andrea Dion joined the Global News Halifax team in early 2016. She hails from Fort St. John, B.C., but has spent the last few years travelling and moving around to pursue her passion for journalism, most recently as a reporter at Global News Regina.

Andrea graduated from Mount Royal University in Calgary in 2012 with a Communications Degree with a major in Journalism. Over the years, she has worked in a number of different markets, including print, radio, corporate communications and broadcast television. A few of these opportunities allowed her to explore other cities around the world, having worked in London, England and Istanbul, Turkey.

Prior to working with Global Regina, she did a brief stint in Dawson Creek, B.C., starting off as the full-time News Reporter, Weather Specialist and part-time Sports Anchor. Not long after assuming that role, she was promoted to the Evening News Anchor and Newsroom Supervisor position.

When she’s not wrapped up in news and telling other people’s stories Andrea enjoys staying active, spending time with her friends and family, and planning for her next adventure!
