The 59-year-old's family confirmed the 'MasterChef' star's death on Wednesday morning.

The Beth Tikvah Synagogue in Dollard-des-Ormeaux held a MasterChef activity for children Sunday as a way to teach them about Hanukkah, while at the same time preparing for the holiday.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the 26-year-old died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
