Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

News Talk 770 is proud to support YWCA’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, to help women and their children take steps to walk away from family violence. Watch online as team News Talk 770 shapes up and shoes up and get ready to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes this September 19th! We are proud to participate in the 12th Annual YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® fundraising event, helping women and their children take steps to walk away from family violence.

We have decided to take part in this event not only because it’s fun, but because we know we can make a difference by being involved. We encourage you to find a way to get involved too. Being a part of YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® as a participant or donor means that you are helping the thousands of families who have sought the services of the YWCA of Calgary’s family violence prevention programs, and the thousands more that will need to reach out for help this year.

The more money we raise, the more the YWCA of Calgary can help women escape the cycle of abuse, help children receive the safety, support and nurturing they deserve and help men learn healthy ways of interacting with their families. Please make a donation of what you can afford or consider creating a new team. We need more real men to take on this challenge and be a role model in the community.
