REVELSTOKE — A Revelstoke man is more than $20 million dollars richer thanks to a lucky lottery ticket.
Peter Mueller, 68, bought the ticket earlier in the week at the Malones Confectionery which matched all six numbers on the October 30th draw.
He checked his ticket while stopping in Vernon for an oil change.
“I heard on the radio during my drive that there was a winning ticket purchased in Revelstoke. The whole drive I wondered if it was me, so I went straight to Village Green to find out. The clerk thought I was joking until she had seen the numbers for herself” Mueller laughed. “She validated the ticket and confirmed the win before she could believe her eyes.”
Mueller is recently retired and says a trip to Mexico is on his agenda but other than that he plans to meet with a financial adviser to decide on how to spend his new found riches.
The winning jackpot totaled $20,223,182.30.
