TORONTO — Global News has won an international award for best overall website design.
The winners of the EPPY Awards were announced Wednesday afternoon. Panellists chose the Global News site for the top media-affiliated design award among many other major international websites.
Now in its 18th year, entries in the EPPY Awards are judged by a panel of notable figures in the media industry, chosen by the staff of Editor & Publisher.
Globalnews.ca relaunched last spring with new technology that automatically recognizes your screen or mobile device, then optimizes the layout and content to create the best possible news experience. There is no app required for the new Globalnews.ca.

This honour comes on the heels of Global News winning the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall News Excellence in Network Television.
