To accomplish this, we’ve invested in new technology that automatically recognizes your screen or mobile device, then optimizes the layout and content to create the best possible Global News experience. There is no app required for the new Globalnews.ca.
Technology continues to evolve at a breakneck pace, but Canadians’ passion for quality, original journalism remains constant.
We are committed to journalism that is more than a kilometre wide and a few centimetres deep. Coinciding with the relaunch, a number of experienced journalists have joined the Global News team. Their job is to provide the real-time reporting and original storytelling that will give you deeper context and analysis of the news. Expect to see many more exclusive stories like today’s pill-popping feature from our new investigative and data journalism units.
The new Globalnews.ca is a living, organic news platform. There are a few areas where development work continues, so you can look forward to improvements in the coming months.
