Tornado watches and warnings ended

Tornado watches have been issued for the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, tornado warnings were issued for areas near Rennie after spotters witnessed a tornado at 12:25 p.m.

Environment Canada called for severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and into the evening. Funnel clouds and tornadoes were possible.

If you spot any severe weather, see any funnel clouds or tornadoes, seek shelter immediately.

A watch is issued when conditions are favourable for severe weather. A warning is when hazardous weather is imminent or occurring.
