SASKATOON – A food drive will take place Tuesday in Saskatoon to help with the Calgary flood relief.
From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., collections will be taken at the Stonebridge Walmart.
The organizers, Paul Chavady and Jerry Hallgrimson, are looking to fill a semi not only with non-perishable food but also household items, gently used clothing and pet food.
The semi provided by Yanke will then be driven to the Calgary Food Bank for delivery on Wednesday.
Chavady says they organized the drive because both have friends in Calgary and Hallgrimson also has family in the city.
Chavady hopes the people of Saskatoon pull together to help those in need in Alberta.
