A GoFundMe account has been set up to support the man killed in a workplace accident on June 2. Jesse Jessop was killed after a concrete wall fell on him as he was doing sidewalk concrete work at a home in west Lethbridge.
The GoFundMe page has a goal of $10,000 to support Jessop’s family. As of 6:30 p.m. Thursday, over $3,200 had been raised.
On Thursday, Trevor Tollin – the owner of Jessop’s employer T N T’s Quality Concrete – released this statement.
“Jesse was a one-of-a-kind guy. A great worker and an even better friend. There is only a handful of people like him. It was an honour having him as part of the TNT family. He will be greatly missed. The public outpour is greatly appreciated, any donations will go directly to Jesse’s family to help in this tragic time.”
Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating the fatal incident.
