Non-life threatening injuries in Highway 59 collision

A driver whose car was totalled in a three vehicle crash this morning escaped with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision happened on Highway 59, around one kilometre north of Highway 311.

RCMP temporarily shut down the highway, but it has since reopened.

In a news release RCMP said a car was travelling north on Highway 59, just past PR 311, when it slowed to make a left turn.  The car behind it also slowed down, but was rear-ended by the truck travelling behind.

The crumpled car ended up in the ditch, the driver was transported to hospital and treated with non-life threatening injuries.

No word on what caused the collision or if there are any injuries.
