Abby Lee Miller announces she’s quit ‘Dance Moms’

Abby Lee Miller of the hit reality show Dance Moms is quitting the show, revealing the surprising news on Instagram on Monday.

Miller says she is done with being manipulated by the show’s male producers, writing in all caps, that she will not longer be part of the show and she’s had enough.

The majority of children that follow me may be fast asleep, however now is the critical time to make the following statement: I WILL NO LONGER TAKE PART IN DANCE MOMS. “I have asked, begged and even demanded creative credit for all the ideas, award-winning routines, themes and costuming,” she reveals in the post. “I was so proud that I went against the producers’ idea (once again) to enter a command performance of one of my favourite numbers.”

Miller shares that she has no problem working with any of the children on the show, but she has an issue with being manipulated, disrespected and used. “Day in and day out by men who never took a dance lesson in their lives and treat women like dirt,” she writes.

After TMZ reached out, Lifetime told the website the network has “no comment” at the moment.
