KELOWNA, B.C. – Hundreds of Okanagan residents drove through the annual Maxine DeHart – United Way, Ramada Hotel Drive-Thru Breakfast Thursday morning in Kelowna.
While they picked up breakfast, they left more than $50,000 in donations, on par with previous years.
The United Way of the Central South Okanagan Similkameen uses the funds raised to engage individuals and mobilize collective action to create positive change for people and communities.
“In doing so, we ensure that resources are invested where they are most needed and where they will have the greatest impact. United Way continues to provide many types of funding to our agency partners who are working to create change in priority areas,” according to their website.
