Canadian boxer Jelena Mrdjenovich defended her World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association championship belts in France on Saturday, according to a website dedicated to the sport.

According to The Boxing Channel, Mrdjenovich, who owns a 36-10-1 fighting record, won the world female featherweight championship fight by decision over the undefeated Gaelle Amand (14-0) who was fighting in her hometown of Cergy-Pontoise, France.
