A man is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after he was stabbed in the neck.

The stabbing happened Thursday at around 6:55 p.m. CT in the 2100-block of 22nd Street West.

The 46-year-old man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is now reported to be in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

A witness reported seeing two men flee after the assault.

Saskatoon police continue to investigate.
