A 69-year-old woman was punched and fell to the ground while attending a protest outside of a Donald Trump rally in Asheville, North Carolina on Monday.
Shirley Teter, who has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and carries an oxygen tank, joined hundreds of protesters at the U.S. Cellular Center.

Teter told The Asheville Citizen-Times she joined the anti-Trump protests to show the public what a rally for the GOP candidate is like.
“People need to know what state of agitation [Trump] puts people in,” she said.
Teter said she was assaulted after yelling “You better learn to speak Russian!” at Trump supporters, a reference to the Republican candidate’s ongoing praise of Vladimir Putin.
That’s when a man turned and punched her in the jaw and she fell to the ground. She was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
On Tuesday, police said they issued an arrested warrant for Richard L. Campbell in connection with the assault on Teter.

Also on Tuesday, police arrested another man, Thomas Vellanti Jr., for disorderly conduct for an assault caught on video Monday night inside the U.S. Cellular Center that was shared widely on social media.
In the video, a man later identified by police as Vellanti can be seen slapping at and grabbing protesters as they were being led out of the arena.
“Is there anywhere in America more fun to be than a Trump rally?” Trump said as protesters were being removed.
According to police, five additional arrests were made during the rally for charges such as obstructing an officer, trespassing and simple possession drugs.
