Police have identified a body that washed up on the shore of the Saint Lawrence River in May as missing Montreal taxi driver Si Belkacem Si Lakhal.
The last time anyone heard from Si Lakhal was apparently when he called a family member while driving his cab on Dec. 21, 2015.

The 52-year-old’s taxi was found abandoned near the Peel Bassin with no unusual marks, leaving a big mystery for his family and Montreal police.

After a long investigation and analysis, police confirmed that it was Si Lakhal.
Officers found no signs of criminal activity and are investigating the reason behind his disappearance.
