JC Lipon lands new deal with Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have signed restricted free agent forward JC Lipon to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level.

Lipon played the majority of last year with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. He scored 13 goals and 17 assists in the minors.

The 23-year-old Regina product made his NHL debut on January 18. Lipon also finished the 2015-2016 season with the Jets. In all, he recorded one assist in nine NHL games.

Lipon was selected by Winnipeg in the third round, 91st overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
