Bella Arcand is an 11-year old from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation in Saskatchewan, and major Toronto Blue Jays fan.

She was invited to throw out the first pitch at a Blue Jays game, and on Tuesday she made that dream come true.

Arcand was chosen last month by the children’s miracle network, through a partnership with Dairy Queen and the Jays, to throw the opening pitch at a game.

For much of her life, Arcand has had to deal with a rare neurological disorder – Rasmussen’s encephalitis – suffering between 40 and 60 seizures a day.

In 2013, doctors removed part of her brain in to help treat her, and despite a second procedure, the seizures have returned.

But through it all, she’s never lost her love of baseball.
