Passenger suffers smoke inhalation

VERNON — A vehicle fire has sent a passenger to hospital for smoke inhalation treatment.

Vernon Fire Rescue Services received a call just before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday regarding a vehicle fire at 32 Avenue and 20A Street.

Paramedics also responded and transferred the patient to Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
