WINNIPEG — Habitat for Humanity was at it again building a home for a single mother and her four kids Tuesday.
A team of Global News and Corus staff helped swinging hammers and saw wood at a build site on Granville Street in Winnipeg’s Point Douglas neighbourhood.
Global’s Heather Steele, Michelle Lissel, Katie Dangerfield, Talia Ricci, Brittany Greenslade, Lauren McNabb, Eva Kovacs and Karen Godfrey helped out Tuesday.
The non-profit‘s annual Women Build event drew dozens of volunteers to the site to help out with the build. For more information about the Women Build event or if you’re interested in volunteering, visit the Habitat for Humanity website.
