WINNIPEG — Football fans will have fewer options when it comes to getting to Investors Group Field this season.
Two of the nine transit park and ride locations are being eliminated. Riders will no longer be able to use the Garden City Shopping Centre and Kildonan Place locations.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers said the reduction will help save them money but also claim fewer buses will speed things up.
“We are always looking at ways to reduce the time it takes for our fans to transport to and from games,” said Bombers President and CEO Wade Miller in a statement. “We feel that reducing the number of park and rides should help speed up the existing process and also reduce costs of the transportation plan, which the Winnipeg Football Club is responsible for.”
With limited parking around Investors Group Field, the Bombers have struggled in the past to move fans to and from games. The team came up with a transportation plan which includes bus, taxi and bike options to get to the stadium.
The Bombers host the Montreal Alouettes in a pre-season game this Wednesday.
