Saskatoon firefighters battle early morning garage fire

SASKATOON – A garage fire put out by Saskatoon firefighters early Saturday morning is under investigation. At 5:28 a.m. CT, the Saskatoon Fire Department received several 911 calls about a fire at 1120 Ave. J South.

The first arriving crew found a detached garage fully involved with flames coming through the roof of the structure.

Firefighters quickly initiated an offensive attack on the blaze, bringing it under control in 26 minutes.

Crews confirmed no one was inside the building and no injuries were reported.

An investigator is working to figure out the cause of the fire.
