Woman hospitalized after Saskatoon apartment fire

SASKATOON – Firefighters say a woman was found in a Saskatoon apartment suite where a fire was extinguished. The fire signal came in at 7:15 p.m. CT Saturday at 302 6th Avenue North.

The Saskatoon Fire Department received reports of smoke on the 11th floor.

Firefighters investigated and found the blaze confined to a single suite. The fire was put out and the crew searched the apartment where they located the woman.

Crews she was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
